As Welder, you will perform tasks associated with pipeline design, construction, operations and maintenance of natural gas pipelines. Safety, of course, is the highest priority.

Develops knowledge in all company safety policies and industry safety standards
Performs pipe fabrication welds, tie-in welds, in-service welds and hot taps
Supports and inspects projects for operations and engineering
Monitors contract work to ensure that job specifications are followed
Interprets and analyzes data from weld inspection equipment; calculates and prepares reports
Communicates with internal and external stakeholders
Performs fabrication, installation and repair of high-pressure piping and structural projects
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High School Diploma or GED and minimum four (4) years' experience in Welding or related field; Welder Certification
Preferred: Associate's degree in Welding; previous experience in the oil and gas industry
Preferred: Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be able to:
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Use hand tools
Operate heavy equipment
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
Willing to develop certified welding inspector skills
Willing to obtain NDT certification(s)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
