Modern office setting Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Our organization is looking for a Deputy Registrar to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Registrar's Office.
Qualified candidates should apply by filling out a county application (found on the Appomattox County website), and sending a copy of that along with their resume to our office, via email.
The Deputy Registrar is appointed by the Director of Elections/General Registrar to be her right-hand person.
The term of appointment may not exceed the term of the General Registrar.
The Deputy performs complex professional and administrative work as required to register voters and administer elections.
The Deputy must be willing and ready to assume the duties of the General Registrar in the absence of the incumbent.
Responsibilities:
Assists with all voter registration and election activities of the office of the General Registrar while ensuring that all Federal and State legal requirements are fulfilled; Determines eligibility of applicants to register to vote and/or vote absentee in accordance with the law; Assists with Absentee by mail and Early Voting; Assists the public with the completion of various records, applications, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
